Here is a transcript of the video:

In this video I'm going to show you exactly how to make a YouTube subscribe link URL.

What this is is a web address that when someone clicks it on your blog or social media and goes to your YouTube page, they're going to be immediately prompted to subscribe to your channel. They can choose yes or they could choose no, but they're going to be prompted right away. This is a simple and easy trick and it helps grow followers on YouTube. When people go to your channel and they're asked to subscribe a lot of the times, they've already made up their mind by going to your channel. So where I'm going to show you how to do this and it's quick and easy and it's well-worth using all over the place where you put content. Let's get started right now.

Hey there. I'm Todd live. Welcome to my channel.

I am an avid podcaster and live video expert and the creator of the #ONEVIDEO Strategy, which is my strategy for winning at YouTube. Check it out at Todd.LIVE today.

In this video we are just going to talk about creating a YouTube subscribe link URL. These are really nice use if growing followers and subscribers on YouTube is something that you're interested in doing. It's something that I'm interested in doing and I like using my subscribe link URL all over the place. And again, what this does is is when somebody clicks your link on Instagram or somebody clicks your link on LinkedIn or wherever to come to your YouTube channel, not an individual video but the channel, okay, they're going to be immediately prompted to subscribe and they can choose to right there on the spot. They can also choose not to, but a lot of people have already made up their mind that they're interested in you by clicking the link to go to your channel. So the odds are high that you're going to get more yeses than nos by providing a link that gives them a choice right away before they go and look at your channel. So let's just get right into it.

YouTube gives us a standard URL that is a subscribe URL and it's made up of several things. Of course it's made up of the HTTPS colon and two forward slashes, youtube.com. You know, there are certain things that are standard in this URL, but there's one chunk of the URL that's very specific to your channel. Okay?

It's like a license plate. There can only be one license plate that matches mine on my car here in the State of California. It's my plate. No one else can have that plate. It's like a Social Security Number. Nobody else in the country, in the United States can have the same Social Security. Same thing with your YouTube channel. Nobody can have the same code that leads people to the channel.

So what we're going to do is we're going to find your code and we're going to slip it into YouTube and paste the subscribe the link there. Subscribe URL, right? And when people click it, you're going to go to your specific channel and they're going to be prompted to subscribe to your channel right there on the spot.

All right, now to get started, I'm going to show you how this works. Okay? So what you see on the screen there is a YouTube subscribe link URL that's going to my channel. It's right here. Okay. And Google docs gives you a little preview when you select it. I'm just going to copy that and I am going to put that into a new search box and hit enter. Of course on most things you're going to have people click to this. Okay. But as you see, you go to my YouTube channel and it says subscribe. It also plays the sound even though I don't want it to play.

But that's basically what we're doing is, is we're creating a link that when somebody clicks it and you can't click it when it's here in Google docs, I can probably, let's see, can I go to it? No. Oh, I can go to it right there. So it's same thing. It's going to prompt me to subscribe, but you can't subscribe to your own channel. So it is what it is. But anyway, when you place this link, you can place it like in your Instagram bio, whatever. You can put it somewhere, you can even change it and create a custom link with Bitly or something like that. And then use this as the link that you go to on YouTube and it can prompt people to subscribe.

So I'm going to show you how to make this. Now I told you there was a specific piece of content on your on your channel that is kind of like your license plate or your web address. And that is the amount of information in between the two slashes. Unfortunately, I can't get rid of the preview, but that information between the two slashes, it's all...I think there's an underscore in there, but for the most part it's all letters and numbers and some of them are upper case and some of them are lower case. And that's all important. You need to find your channel information specifically.

And if you go to my YouTube channel, we'll just go to YouTube. We'll go to YouTube and we will type in Todd.LIVE to find my channel. And it should give me that string of it for me. Yes, it does. Let's quiet the music here and talking. Okay, so here it is. So as you can see, this right here, if I copy it and go over to my Google doc and I paste it underneath, they match the 'UCC WG', that string of characters that matches. Okay. Okay, so I know, I know it would, but that's my specific channel information.

Let's look somebody else up. Dan...Creator Fundamentals. Look up my friend Dan, go to his channel and there is his code. So I could actually do this. Look, I could take his code, copy it, take it over to my document. Let's see here and slip his code where my code is and it should change it. Well maybe not. We'll see what happens here. Let's go paste this in a new search bar and hit enter. And if we go to Dan's channel and it says subscribe, maybe you can only do it for your own channel. I don't know. But anyway, that's how you do it. It's that easy.

You're just taking the URL that I've provided you and you can go to the link down below. It takes you to my blog post where the link is that you can copy and paste the link. I didn't want to put it in the description just in case the terms of service or whatever, but you go to my blog and you can copy the YouTube URL. Okay? You can copy and paste it wherever you want to paste it, but then you've got to go get your specific information and slip it in between the two slashes just like I showed you, and you will have a link that when people click it, they will go to your YouTube page, but they will also be prompted to subscribe to your channel at the same time.
